What 3D Mapping Actually Produces

We fly the subject from multiple altitudes and angles — including oblique passes that capture building faces, not just rooftops. Processing software identifies features appearing across overlapping frames and solves the three-dimensional position of each one, reconstructing your site as a dense cloud of measured points. That geometry is surfaced and textured with the original photography.

The result isn't an artist's rendering or a stylized visualization. It's a measured reconstruction of what is physically there, at real-world dimensions, built from data captured over the actual site. You can take a measurement off it and trust the number.

What You Can Do With the Model

Measure without going back to the site. Distances between any two points, surface and roof areas, stockpile and excavation volumes, structure heights, pavement square footage. Questions that would otherwise mean another site visit get answered from your desk.

Inspect what you can't reach. Examine a roof, façade, tank, or structure in close detail without a lift, a ladder, or a rope crew.

Present work that lands. Send a link. Clients, investors, and planning boards navigate the model themselves. It communicates a project far better than a folder of photographs, and takes no software to open.

Document conditions before they change. A dated 3D record before demolition, excavation, or renovation is inexpensive to capture and extremely valuable the one time a question arises about what was there.

Plan against reality. Model an existing site before design work, or place a proposed structure into a model of the real surroundings to show how it fits.

Large facilities are hard to see whole. Drawings go out of date, the site has been modified a dozen times since anyone updated them, and no single photograph captures it.

A 3D model gives you current, measurable documentation of the property as it exists today — for expansion planning sized against the real site rather than a decades-old drawing, asset records showing where things actually are, permit and environmental documentation with defensible area measurements, roof and pavement assessment for capital budgeting or solar feasibility, and emergency response planning with an accurate current layout.

Sites that change — active yards, expanding operations, ongoing construction — benefit from re-flying on a schedule. Because each model is georeferenced to the same coordinate system, datasets compare directly and change becomes measurable rather than impressionistic.

Detail and Accuracy

Model resolution depends on flight altitude and sensor selection. Flown close, our models resolve detail fine enough to read surface cracking in pavement and individual course lines in masonry.

With ground control established, models support measurement and estimating work. Without ground control, relative measurements within the model remain reliable while absolute positioning is looser — adequate for presentation, not for design.

Tell us which use case you're buying for and we'll fly it to the right standard. There's no reason to pay for survey-grade control on a model that exists to show a planning board what a building will look like.
